I'm not superstitious, but did I conjure up a tree falling with my writing last week? A 70' oak tree fell but no damage. I can't complain. It was nothing compared to the devastation I've seen on the news. I hope everyone you love and care for is safe. Email me if you want names of proven trades people. Having solid vendors to recommend is definitely a perk of being in real estate.
Back in the 1960s, when Smoke Rise developers conceived of our neighborhood, they definitely weren't concerned with the ease of trick or treating on Halloween. And toddler trick or treating... forget about it. So I'm curious about where parents of younger kids are taking their kiddos. What's your favorite Trunk or Treat?
Scroll down to see some events from further afield, like a hayride and a haunted hike.

This week I am bragging on my husband of 19 years. He's a talented musician, writer, mechanic, who is also kind and funny.
Blake loves making things, photography, listening to vinyl, inventing hot sandwich combinations, and working on old cars. He's well known for sharing vintage TV advertisements and training videos with his friends.
When we met, Blake was playing in a couple bands and most weekends you'd find me dreamily watching him from the audience. Some of my favorite moments from our time together has been learning to assemble furniture without arguing, weekend trips in a slow moving VW camper van, fostering a ton of dogs, and making tiny Play-Doh food with our little boy.
Blake has always made sure music making is in his life. From making cigar box guitars or guitar pedals to recording funky synth tracks. Blake works full time as a Technical Writer for US Bank.
Blake appreciates being so close to the world's largest piece of exposed granite. He doesn't love wrangling leaves for 4-5 months of the year, but he does it because he's just that amazing.
In general, homes in Smoke Rise are priced at the higher end of things. However, of the 43 homes sold over the past 365 days in our neighborhood, 23% are still in the $400s, which is on par with the average for the Atlanta Metro.
When you talk about Smoke Rise with friends, what do you like to highlight about our neighborhood?
